Rapier:
The very first thing to draw me into the SCA was a blade in my hand. Growing up adoring the Three Musketeers and Captain Hook, never being able to afford (or know where to find) fencing classes, having someone put a Rapier in my hand felt like ripples of goosebumps dancing up my arm and into my belly. No really, I LOVED that Rapier. The trouble is I progress slowly, allowing the real world to interfere with my obsessions! Boooo.
I currently hold a
Dragon's Fury - First Level (Red) in the Barony of SunDragon (Atenveldt.) 2oo8Mar
Oleander (x2), given by the Queen to female fighters for fighting at War. 08,09
As I am 2000 miles from my Barony, on a wicked work schedule that prevents me from attending Sunday practice in Attillium, // Atlantia, I have signed up for a Fencing Class (through All American Fencing). This allows me to peck a bit, and learn some skills that can only improve my Rapier!
Archery
I loved Sunday Morning Archery. The Bongochea's got me my very own bow, and I had arrows cut to my length, all so I could increase my skill with steady practice... Gow to FIND some in Atlantia?
I currently hold various Participatory badges from Archery, but I did earn some:
Bunny Badges 2oo6: White, 20/40. Gold: 40. (I think I remember that Gold Bunny meant you killed it on the first arrow..
