Stitchery & Textiles
If you've come here for WeyrCat.com, don't worry you're in thw right place!
Because so muxh of the stitching I do is inspired by the SCA (Society for Creative Anachromism) it will be much easier to filter the Non-Period works onto this page than all the SCAdian works onto a regular WeyrCat page. (If you have come WeyrCat.com, and are interested in Stitchery, DO check out the SCA, you may find some of our ilk are your kind of people! Or at least maybe you'll find a pattern you like ;)
Don't forget to peek at the list of resources at the end of the page. They've helped me greatly!
Cross Stitch
This is really the bulk of my atitchery at this point (Mar2oo9), but the argument over whether cross-stitch is period I believe continues. Some say Yes, as Blackwork was a type of Cross-stitch; a cross-stitch itself being a simple stitch within embroidery.

Embroidery
Such a broad term; I use it here as what to me feels like "coloring with thread." I'm learning this, but it does take so much more time than cross-stitch, at least the types I've created for myself to do. Perhaps I should get some instruction: perhaps I'm working too hard!!
BSD: Katheline & Ryan. My first Embroidery. Self patterned. 14 months (off&on).
Textiles: Cording
No really, one of the easiest and neatest way to get into textiles seems to be the Cording. Done solo (or in teams! See Viking Whipcord) cording can be used for almost infinite uses, and you are darn near limitless in color and design! Here's What I've worked on.. Grouped by Cording Style so I don't drive ye nuts with each new variation I learn.
Patterns I have Made!
I haven't made many, and usually of someone else's designs, but there are a few..
